Sales for the 19/20 McKelvie yearbook are underway and your student should have received an order envelope and reminder postcard. This year's theme is "We Rise by Lifting Others".

Books cost $25 each and there are two ways to order. The EASIEST way is to order online, but you can also pay by cash or check with the order envelope. Instructions for online ordering are on the Yearbook Club website under "Ordering Info" or by clicking the link below. If paying by check, please make it payable to McKelvie Intermediate School. Intelligent Lives:
Intelligent Lives is a film by New Hampshire’s own Dan Habib. The film stars three young
American adults with Intellectual Disabilities who challenge the perception of intelligence as
they find their way through high school, college and the workforce. This film questions what it
means to be intelligent and points to a future in which people of all abilities can participate in
higher education, meaningful employment, and personal relationships.

Bedford School District, in partnership with Amherst School District, Merrimack School District,
Manchester School District, the Bedford PTG, and St. Anselm’s Meelia Center, will be hosting a
screening of the film on March 31, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the Bedford High School theatre.
Following the film, there will be a question and answer session led by the filmmaker, Dan Habib.

Free tickets can be reserved HERE.

Library News:
Happy Valentine's Day, McKelvie! It was a short but productive week in the library. I continue to be amazed by the number of students who use our Destiny Library Catalog to be "search savvy." We have a large number of patrons who continue to place books on hold and then proceed to check their account or school email to see when the hold is ready!

Click HERE to see an Adobe Spark of the newly purchased and catalogued books purchased with the $500.00 donation from Worthen's Mobile in Bedford! We are so grateful for this donation and know that these books will be checked out soon. Thank you!

Have a great weekend! Just one more week until vacation! I expect that the library will be very busy next week with students building their reading stacks for vacation. ~Mrs. Cote
