5.4.18

Dear McKelvie Families ~

My apologies - this is a couple of hours late!  Too much to do getting ready for tonight’s production.

This weekend is the McKelvie School Play: Into the Woods!  I am so excited to see our kids up on that stage. You are welcome to join us this evening at 7pm or on Saturday at 1pm and 6pm.  Tickets are $7 and I know the kids would LOVE to see their friends in the audience.

Much of this week’s note is a repeat from last week.  There is important information here. Also - with vacation week ending last Friday, who really had time to read it all! :)

From the Library
Congrats to 6th grader Melea Jaffe from Mr. Crowell's homeroom! She was the 8th "Search Slip" winner for the month of April. Melea had her "Search Slip" filled out correctly and entered it into the monthly drawing. She won a $5.00 gift certificate to put towards a treat at a local ice cream establishment. Enjoy your treat, Melea!

Thank you to all of the students, parents, and staff members who emailed or printed pictures of all of the wonderful places books traveled or stayed over April break. Books and devices traveled from sea to shining sea and even across the pond to countries in Europe. It was a treat to receive the pictures and create a display of "Oh, The Places Our Books Go!" Click HERE to see the display located outside of the library.

SCHOOL SUPPLY KIT PROGRAM UPDATE
Due to unforeseen circumstances with our supplier, PTG will be unable to offer pre-purchased school supply kits to families for 2018/19 school year. Teachers will still provide supply lists that families can utilize to shop on their own for supplies before the start of the school year.
Please note that we will be working on finding an alternative and we hope to re-introduce this program next spring for 2019/20 school year supplies. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to work to find the best supplier to meet Bedford School District’s needs.

Have a great weekend,
