6/3/16

Dear McKelvie Families ~

The warms weather has arrived and the school days are numbered.  As we head into these next two weeks, it is important to maintain perspective, be flexible, and know that we are all in this together.  I have tried to include some reminders to help you and your child depart from this school year on a positive note.

School Supply Kits
The PTG and SchoolKidz, a Staples company, are pleased to offer school supply kits for students. Order forms should have come home with your child. To order online visit www.shopttkits.com. Current 6th graders use the Lurgio code 34344 to order a 7th grade kit. Current 5th graders use McKelvie code 88671 to order a 6th grade kit, if your child is taking World Language order the kit labeled "McKelvie 6th Gr World Language" this has all classroom supplies plus world language supplies. Please consider ordering World Language community supplies as well, simply select items based on your last initial as add-ons. Paper orders are due to your child’s homeroom teacher by June 10th, online orders by June 17th. All supplies will be delivered to your child's homeroom for the first day of school. Click here for more information.

Lost & Found
Can't find that expensive sweatshirt or pair of shorts?  Come and visit our Lost and Found.  It is a veritable collection of hats, gloves, sweatshirts, pants, and shoes (yes, there are shoes).  All items will be donated during summer break.

Grade 6 & Mel's
Just a reminder that this weekend is the perfect opportunity for student to make sure they are caught up on all of their work.  All they need to do is log into the portal and it's all right there.

Last Day
our last day of school is June 15th.  We will dismiss at 1:15pm.  The students will have lunch, but there will be no After School Program.

Library Books
All Library books are to be returned.  Your child can check their account for overdue books. Questions can be directed to Kathy Fencil at fencilk@sau25.net

Lunch Account Balances
Please take a moment and review your child's lunch balance.  All balances must be paid in full by the end of the school year.  Leaving a positive balance is fine as it will be there for your child in the fall.

Shopping Rewards
The Labels for Education Program is being discontinued.  As a result, we will no longer be collecting them.  Questions can be directed to Stephanie Richard at spare111778@aol.com.
