This has been a fast week! I hope that you have been able to settle into the January routine. We have a nice stretch between now and February vacation, so I anticipate terrific things in the next several weeks. Below are today's updates. 2016 McKelvie Musical
The McKelvie Drama Club is pleased to announce that this year's musical will be You're a Good Man Charlie Brown under the direction of Nate Sawyer. Grade 5 Fire Safety Lessons
During the month of January, Thatcher Plante, Bedford's Fire Inspector, will be meeting with 5th grade classes. During the 30 minute lessons, the students will work on home escape and reunification plans. This is the third year we have partnered with the Bedford Fire Department.

FCCLA Valentine Carnation Sale
Each year the FCCLA conducts a carnation sale at McKelvie to help defray the cost of their state competition in April. Students can purchase a red, white, pink, or combination of colored carnations for $1 each from 1/25 to 2/5. Questions can be directed to Mrs. Trudel at email@example.com
Music Department Student Teacher
We want to take a moment to introduce Ms. Brittany Avery to you. She will be Mrs. Coughlin's student teacher for the Spring Semester. She is a Music Education major from Southern NH University, and her first day is Monday, January 11th. She will be working with our 6th grade general music classes, 5th grade instrumental lessons, and both Chorus and Select Chorus.
