The grade 5 Excel math placement assessment will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. If you would like your child to take this assessment, please download the permission slip. Also, please check our McKelvie Math placement page for general information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Tripod Survey:
We are once again asking our students to provide timely, anonymous feedback to their teachers this spring. This quick feedback is extremely valuable for reflection and improvement in the teaching and learning process.

There are "non-academic" questions at the end of the survey. These questions are confidential, not sold, and are only used for norming purposes. By allowing your child to answer these questions, we can be confident that the survey results are valid and reliable. The survey is now Opt-In. Click HERE to access the Opt-In form. Thank you for your support!

Next week, we will be honoring National Library Week 2019 by voting for our favorite Great Stone Face Nominee. Students statewide, in grades 4-6, have an opportunity to vote. Students at McKelvie will have access to a Google Form voting ballot to cast their one vote. The form will be linked to the tab titled "GSF" off of the library website. The McKelvie winner will be announced during the week of April 15th. The statewide winner will be announced in May. Stay tuned!

April break is approaching quickly! The library is looking for photos of where books go over break. I would love to have photographs of books with their readers to display in the library windows with the caption "Oh, The Places Our Books Go!" This can be as simple as snapping a photograph with a McKelvie reader and book in a comfy spot at home in Bedford to a McKelvie reader and book on a beach in the tropics. Please email the picture with your child's name and the location to cotej@sau25.net. I will print and display all of the pictures I receive! Thank you in advance for participating! I can't wait to see where books travel over break.
