10.20.17

Dear McKelvie Families ~

Have you ever made breakfast for 100?  Well - thanks to the efforts of our students, Mrs. Asdot and I made pancakes for the students in the Conner, Oliveira,  Francis, & Parnell homerooms.  These kids were super thankful and very gracious.  They were also REALLY hungry!  Anyway, it was a terrific way to start our day.  Special thanks to Mrs. Roy, Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Parsons, and Ms. McGinty for helping out (Do you really think the two of us could pull this off alone?).  Below are the notes for this week:

Mr. Fournier's MAT Challenge
This is the last weekend to collect sponsors for the Move-A-Thon.  Ask your neighbors, family, and friends to support this year's Move-A-Thon.  We are excited to announce that if our school raises $40,000 in the Move-A-Thon,  Recycled Percussion will come to our Move-A-Thon assembly and include Mr. Fournier in their drumming performance.   Let's get moving and raise funds!

Move-A-Thon Equipment
Students can start bringing in their Move-A-Thon equipment on Monday.  If you take the bus, for this event only, Move-A-Thon equipment can come in on the bus.  If your child is riding their scooter, ripstick or skateboard they must wear a helmet to participate.  Rollerblading has additional safety requirements.  For a full list of equipment needed for Track Activities (i.e. scooter, ripstick, Skateboard, and Rollerblading) click HERE.
